Sunway Iskandar Puteri won't publish its fees. Its scholarship page gives one away.

Short answer: Sunway International School Iskandar Puteri does not tell you what it costs.

Not on its website. Not in a PDF. Nowhere.

We looked at the live site. Then we looked at every saved copy of it, more than 6,000 pages saved since March 2022.

Not one fee list for this campus.

But the school let a number slip on a different page.

Its scholarship page proves IB Diploma tuition here costs more than RM34,000 a year.

The campus sits inside Medini, the district at the centre of the foreign-buyer price question. It is the only international school that does, and one of six schools within reach of the area.

Here is how we know, and what else you should ask before you call them.

Is the fee really not published?

Really. And we can show you.

Start with the school’s own payment page. It lists bank details, a card link and a cheque name. On the fee itself, it says one thing:

Then an email and a phone number. That is the whole answer.

So we asked a bigger question. Has this campus ever published a fee list?

The Wayback Machine saves copies of websites. It holds more than 6,000 saved pages from the Sunway schools website, going back to March 2022.

The folder this campus uses for its downloads has only ever held four things:

• School calendars
• An application form
• An IB Diploma scholarship form
• A brochure

No fee list. Not in any year we can see.

The boarding house is the same. Its SIS House page shows no prices today. A saved page from 2022, titled “Boarding Fees”, showed no prices either. It described the rooms and asked you to email.

So when a fee website quotes you a number for this school, it did not get that number from this school.

So where does RM34,000 come from?

From the school itself. Just not from a fee page.

Sunway publishes its scholarships in full, in ringgit. Here is the IB Diploma entrance scholarship.

Now read the school’s own small print. Two lines matter.

“The scholarship is not a cash award.”

“The Scholarship quantum is only applicable to the Tuition Fee.”

So this is not money in your pocket. It is money off the tuition bill.

And now the sums do themselves.

You cannot take RM34,000 off a bill that is smaller than RM34,000.

So the tuition bill must be at least RM34,000 a year.

And look at the top row. “Full Scholarship” is a bigger prize than RM34,000. If the full fee were exactly RM34,000, the two top rows would be the same prize. They are not.

So IB Diploma tuition here is more than RM34,000 a year.

Three honest limits on that.

It covers the IB Diploma years only. It tells you nothing about kindergarten or primary.

It is a floor, not a price. The real fee could be RM36,000. It could be RM55,000.

And it is our sum, not the school’s statement. We think it holds. Ask them anyway.

What it does give you is something no fee website can: a number you can check the working on yourself.

Why is the fee missing at all?

Here is the part that explains the mess.

Sunway International School runs two campuses on one website. Kuala Lumpur, and Iskandar Puteri here in Johor.

For years, Kuala Lumpur published everything. Its fee lists were split by grade, from kindergarten up to the IB Diploma. There was even a page for its 2024 fee schedules. A saved copy shows that page still working on 20 May 2026.

Johor published nothing, ever.

Then something changed. Today that Kuala Lumpur page is gone, and its old fee files are gone with it. Its payment page now carries the same line as Johor’s: email us for each grade’s fee schedule.

So the timeline is simple.

Kuala Lumpur used to show its fees. It stopped, some time after May 2026. Johor never showed them at all.

That matters to you for one reason.

Every Sunway fee number still floating around the internet came from Kuala Lumpur, and it is now out of date. None of it was ever a Johor number.

If you want to see how the other schools nearby handle this, four of the six we compared on fees and distance simply publish their price lists.

So why does every website show a different number?

Because they are not all describing the same school.

We opened the four fee sites Google ranks on page one for “sunway international school fees” and checked each against the campus it actually covers.

Read the second row again.

A site sitting on page one of Google tells you RM22,900 to RM52,900. Its own fee table says that figure is termly, and that there are two terms in a year. Follow the table instead of the summary and the annual number roughly doubles.

The two ranked above it are not describing Johor at all.

So the spread you see online, RM22,900 at one end and RM95,000 at the other, is not a range of fees. It is a range of guesses, about at least two different campuses.

The only figure on this page that came from Sunway itself is still the one at the top. IB Diploma tuition here is more than RM34,000 a year, because the school publishes a RM34,000 discount that comes off it.

Wait, is this one school or two?

Two. And this is the thing almost no listing tells you.

Sunway Iskandar Puteri runs two school systems on one campus. You have to choose one.

Two things here are worth a phone call.

The Canadian pages stop at Grade 11. The school’s high school page lists Grade 9, Grade 10 and Grade 11, and says students earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. There is no Grade 12. In Ontario, that diploma normally runs through Grade 12. Ask them how a child finishes it here.

The school nudges you towards the Canadian side. Its own IB page argues that moving from Ontario into the IB Diploma is “significantly more seamless”. It calls Ontario “the preferred choice for parents with the IBDP pathway in mind”. Its Middle Years page adds that going from Grade 10 into the IB Diploma can shorten the whole journey.

That may be perfectly true. It is also an argument for a cheaper programme. Ask them to explain it properly, not from a brochure.

Does it take my child to 18?

Yes, on the IB side. The school’s pre-university page says so plainly:

At SIS Iskandar Puteri, we offer International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP).

That matters, because two of the six schools near Medini stop at 16. One is Stellar International School at Almas, which ends at the IGCSE in Year 11.

The Career-related Programme is the one nobody explains, so here it is in plain words.

It is for ages 16 to 19. It mixes IB subjects with job-related study. The school says its version here is “planned with a strong focus on Business Studies”.

It is not a weaker qualification. It is a different one, and universities treat it differently from the full Diploma. Ask which one your child would go into, and why.

How do I get the real number?

You email and ask. The school will send it. It just wants you to ask first.

1. Email admissions, not the general inbox. . The programme enquiries address gets you a fee schedule. The general one gets you a brochure.
2. Ask for everything, not just tuition. . One-off fees, the bus from Medini, meals, exam fees and English support. A fee without those attached is only half a fee.
3. Name your term, not just the grade. . This school takes students all year and its year starts in January, so "Grade 9" alone can get you the wrong year's price.

Send this list, and ask for the reply in writing.

• The fee list for my child’s exact grade, for the year we would start
• Whether that price is for the Canadian side or the IB side, and what the other one costs
• The application fee, the enrolment fee and the deposit, and which of those come back to you
• The school bus price from Medini
• Meals, and whether we have to buy them
• Exam fees at the end
• Extra English lessons, if my child would need them
• Any tax added to the above
• Boarding, if you need it, split into room and food
• Whether the IB Diploma scholarship could apply, and what we would still owe

One warning about the reply.

This school takes new students all year round, and its school year starts in January. So make sure the price you get is for the term your child actually starts, not just “Grade 9”.

And a fee without the one-off costs attached is only half a fee.

What we could not check

Fair is fair. Here is what we could not stand behind.

A boarding price of about RM41,500 a year. This number circulates for this campus. We could not find it on any Sunway page, live or saved, for either campus. Treat it as unproven until the school puts it in writing.

IB approval status. The school describes the Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes in detail, and names a coordinator for each. That is what a running programme looks like. We did not check its authorisation with the IB itself. If you are buying into the full IB journey, ask for that in writing.

How the Ontario diploma is finished, when the published Canadian path ends at Grade 11.

So, is it worth a look?

Two things are clearly in its favour.

It goes to 18, which is the first question to ask about any school. And it is the only international school actually inside Medini, so there is no daily drive.

Against that, it is the most secretive on price of the six schools near Medini. It makes you work for a number that four of its neighbours just print on a page.

That is not a reason to cross it off. It is a reason to get every number in writing before you fall for the campus.

If a home in the same neighbourhood is part of the plan, Bodaiju Residences is in Medini too, a few minutes from the school gate.

The three-bedroom is the layout the towers are built around.

But sort the school out first.

It is much harder to change later.
