Stellar is building a new, purpose-built campus in Medini, which it announced in December 2025 and Malaysia’s national news agency Bernama reported.

The school’s story so far
- 2016Stellar Education Group is founded in Iskandar Puteri.
- 2019The school opens its first campus at Almas, Puteri Harbour, the one it runs from today.

The curriculum, stage by stage
Stellar blends four things: the Cambridge International Curriculum, the Singapore curriculum for Maths and Science, the International Primary Curriculum, and STEAM.
Here is how it runs from the early years to the final exam.
- Ages 3–6Early Years. Playschool and preschool, built on STEAM and the UK Early Years framework.
- PrimaryIPC. The International Primary Curriculum, with Cambridge and Singapore Maths and Science.
- Year 7–9Lower Secondary. Cambridge Secondary, with Singapore Maths and Science.
- Year 10–11Upper Secondary. Cambridge IGCSE courses, sat at the end of Year 11.

The new Medini campus
The headline news is the new campus, and here is what the December 2025 announcement, carried by Bernama, actually sets out.
The plans include a multipurpose hall, a full-sized football field, a black box theatre, a swimming pool, specialist kitchens and gallery spaces.
Bernama says the campus was developed with guidance from the Johor State Education Department.
Now the honest caveat.
No official opening date has been confirmed.
Some sources mention 2027, but we have not seen an official date from the school, so treat any year as an estimate.
If timing matters for your family, ask the school for its latest completion date.
Getting there
Both the current and new campuses sit in Iskandar Puteri, on the Johor side near the Second Link crossing to Singapore.
That makes the school reachable for families on both sides of the border, and it keeps Medini itself within an easy local drive.

A few honest notes on that table.
Fees change every year and vary by year group, so treat them as a guide and confirm with each school.
Marlborough’s, Tenby’s, Crescendo-HELP’s and Forest City’s figures come from their official fee pages; Stellar’s and Sunway’s are directory estimates, as neither school publishes a schedule.
Two things stand out for a Medini family.
Sunway International School is right in Medini, on Persiaran Medini, so if you want an IB school on your doorstep, it is the closest option, though it costs more than Stellar.
Like Stellar, it publishes no fee schedule. Unlike Stellar, its own scholarship table lets you pin down a floor: IB Diploma tuition there has to exceed RM34,000 a year, and it runs a Canadian stream alongside the IB one.
Forest City International School comes up often too, but it is a premium American day and boarding school about 18 km away on the Forest City islands, so it is a different proposition.
The short version.
Stellar is the affordable, Cambridge, day-school choice that takes children to IGCSE.
The others either cost more, go further to A-Levels or the IB at 18, or both.
What to check with the school before you decide
This guide gets you most of the way, but a few things are best confirmed in person.
- The exact fees: tuition by year, plus the application fee, enrolment fee and refundable deposit.
- Term dates, and the earliest your child could start.
- The post-16 pathway: whether A-levels or Year 12–13 are offered, or where students go after the IGCSE.
- School transport and bus routes for the area you would live in.
- Meals and halal options, and any special-needs support.
- A firm opening date for the Medini campus, if that affects your timing.

Medini is a small, walkable district.
A school inside it is a real convenience for a family who lives nearby, and it saves the daily drive across Iskandar Puteri.
